MASTER IN RESEARCH OF
OPERATIONS

About the Master

In our Master in Operations Research we implement methodologies for administration and project management that have proven to be successful in determining the short- and long-term goals of a business.

By choosing to study this high-level program you will learn to use software used in industry, What Ape to model and simulate discrete systems, Ampl to solve optimization problems, as well as R Y Python to analyze data, among others.

You will be able to perform data-driven analysis and predictions, optimize processes, develop effective strategies and make decisions in complex systems.

You will learn how to analyze financial reports and the health of a company.

You will participate in a real consulting in a partner company of the program to apply the theoretical and practical content learned during the Master's Degree.

Graduate Profile

The Master in Operations Research Galileo University is a program with a solid pensum in scientific material in the areas of mathematics, statistics and technology, which makes it possible to train professionals in a comprehensive manner, developing their critical and analytical thinking so that they learn to make optimal decisions based on mathematical and probabilistic models to meet organizational objectives.

It is composed of two postgraduate degrees so that the first year is a cross outlet to the program. The modality it is flexible, allowing the student to choose to study 100% in person, 100% virtual or combining both in a hybrid modality.

One of the main concerns of the authorities is to form a faculty with vast experience in their professional area who share with the students various approaches to operations research.

The teachers are from professional and academic quality. Several professors have doctoral degrees from prestigious universities such as Purde University, Texas A&M University, University of Illinois, University of Southern California, among others.

Students of this Master's degree become members of INFORMS (Operations Research and Management Sciences Institute) the world's largest. They can also obtain licenses to use Simio, a 3D modeling, simulation and animation software, access to DatacampAmazon Web Services and other benefits.

The students of this Master's Degree are provided and facilitated the tools to be competitive in operations research nationally and internationally. They are guided by expert professionals, receive credentials from academic organizations to reinforce their knowledge, and are exposed to the professional practice.

The virtual modality that you can choose promotes constructivist learning that avoids establishing specific study hours for all participants. Each student organizes their time and carries out the assigned activities according to their availability and the established demands.

  • You receive virtual 100% classes and have 24/7 access to all deferred content.
  • You have a virtual campus through which you can plan activities, communicate with your peers and teachers, monitor your evaluations, receive feedback.
  • You have videos and learning resources dosed to guide your learning in a dynamic and effective way.
  • You can raise questions and concerns through multiple communication channels (such as forums, email, virtual campus, etc.).
  • You receive accompaniment and support from experts.
  • You carry out questionnaires and interactive activities that seek to make it easier for you to retain and apply the content.

Graduates of the Master in Operations Research have the mathematical and analytical instruments as a basis, as well as the skills to work independently in scientific advice, consulting or research.

Because of his flexibility, problem-solving ability, and the ability to analyze and model complex problems, graduates can understand the different components of a company and how decisions in one of them impact the others.

Graduates are listed in high-level companies, mainly those that involve mathematical modeling, logistics, planning and programming of production processes.
